Equipment! Try to charge everything at least once a week. It's also a good idea to have a back up on your collars. Here a $50.00 tip. When training multiple dogs {always check } your collar settings. The dog before may have been a 5 level, now the dog you have is a 2 level.

Early training! Dogs learn quicker at a early age. Exposure to a lot of different things early really gives a dog a head start in life. Don't wait until pup is a year old before you take him swimming .Don't just throw him hand held marks, have some one throw them out in the field. You want to create a well balance dog.

Line Manners! Practice walking you dog on lead to the holding blind then to the line. Make sure he is walking at heel to and from both places. While shooting single marks in training do not allow him to move a inch. Keep you standard high and practice this often.

Balance of training! Have you ever seen a dog with little desire to retrieve? His training may be out of balance with to much "pressure" in his training program. Remember, training is like going to school. If you have home work all the time and no recess it stops being fun. A happy student that's like to come to school will learn a lot quicker .Throw simple marks that the dog can be successful with while doing basics.

Keep your commands simple. If you want your dog to heel back, don't say "Molly heel back ". What you're doing is telling her to "GO" because you said her name. Then you're telling her to "STOP" by saying heel and finally you have told her to "GO" again because you said "Back". All you need to say is Heel or Sit depending on what the dog is doing.

Always' teach your lesson and make sure your dog knows what you are trying to teach him before you make a correction . Remember, you have to act like a teacher Not an enforcer. Only use the E Collar for correction, not to teach. One of the reasons our program is successful is because we train conventional before we start using the E Collar. Show the dog what you want him to do.
